The Velva School board interviewed 3 applicants on Tuesday, February 21,  for the superintendent search.

They offered the position to someone later that day, which was verbally accepted.
Today I received a signed contract from Mr. Monty Mayer to be our superintendent beginning 7-1-23.

He is currently high school principal in Hazen and has been in education for 30 years.  The board and hiring committee believe he will be a good fit for our students, staff, and community.
